A subpolar cool-season ornamental flower (Papaver nudicaule) with papery blossoms in shades of orange, yellow, white and occasionally light pink. ‰ÛÏIcelandic‰ is actually a misnomer when describing this poppy species ‰ÛÒ they aren‰۪t native to Iceland, but rather a broad range of boreal geographies throughout the world. With adequate spacing and temperature conditions their bloom period can span multiple months.
