Summer Savory (Satureja hortensis) is a small annual shrub that produces spicy, somewhat peppery foliage that's used for seasoning a range of culinary dishes. Often used interchangeably with sage, included in the "Herbes de Provence" and also related to winter savory (but slightly less bitter). Slow to germinate but relatively quick once established. Expect harvestable foliage approximately three months following an early spring seeding.
