Gaillardia (Gaillardia aristata) is also named blanket flower due to the blossom color patterning that resembles the blankets of many indigenous American tribes. There are numerous species and varieties of this plant in circulation; our particular offering features brightly colored red and yellow discs. The fast growing, drought tolerant, and tolerance of poor and varying soil types makes this plant is exceptionally easy to grow and an ideal pioneer plant for establishing wildflower meadows. Plants are perennial and will bloom year over year in a moderate winter climate.
70-80 days from seed to flower. Perennial. Seed are certified organic by Oregon Tilth.
