Cherry Belle RadishPacket (1.2 grams, ~125 seeds) More info380 available
Cherry Belle is the archetypal radish (Raphanus sativus) variety: fast-growing, luscious red round roots 1-3 inches in diameter with a perfect flavor balance between crisp, sweet and spicy. Young tops can be stir-fried or added to soups. We‰۪ve always been fond of growing the Purple Plum Radish on our farm, but this Holland-based heirloom tends to perform more consistently, especially in warmer weather or during erratic climate swings. 30 days from seed. Annual.

Miyashige Daikon Radish
Miyashige Daikon RadishPacket (1.2 grams, ~125 seeds) More info237 available
Daikon literally translates to ‰ÛÏlong root‰۝ in Japanese, although the modern varieties originated in southern China. This radish (Raphanus sativus) produces very large white tapered roots that weigh anywhere from one to four pounds. Daikon is mild in flavor and delicious either raw or cooked; it‰۪s often peeled before eating. A staple ingredient in many Asian cuisines; historically dried, pickled, and shredded and added to vegetable ferments (Kimchi, sauerkraut) along with burdock root. Daikon radishes can also be used as a cover crop to scavenge nutrients and alleviate soil compaction. Approximately 50 days from seed. Annual. Photo credit: Franco Folini.
